Sharing and access

Overview

3 min

Sharing has two layers: who can open the dashboard, and—optionally—which pages (tabs) or charts a viewer can see. Editors and owners keep full editing tools. Hide in view on Report Pages only hides navigation; use restrictions when access must be enforced.

Why it matters

Not every teammate should see every operational detail. Fine-grained access keeps boards useful without oversharing.

When to use

  • A dashboard leaves a private draft.
  • Finance or ops needs only certain pages.
  • You invite a viewer who should not see every chart.

How to use

  1. Set visibility or invite people who can view.
  2. Optional: restrict individual pages or charts to an allow list.
  3. Confirm as that person or with a test viewer account.

Success check: Intended viewers open the board; restricted areas show as unavailable instead of raw details.
