Build a dashboard

Create a canvas, set a default data source, organize Report Pages, add tiles, and save the layout.

Why it matters

Dashboards are how teams operationalize metrics every day.

How to use

  1. Dashboards → New Dashboard.
  2. Turn Edit on.
  3. Set Default data source.
  4. Open Report Pages (Page N of M in the toolbar) to add or rename pages.
  5. Add widgets and configure each tile on the active page.
  6. Save tiles, then save the layout.
  7. Turn Edit off to view live.

Click path

  1. Dashboards → open board → Edit → Add chart / KPI / table.
  2. Edit → Page N of M / Report Pages panel.

Success check: Live tiles load in view mode on the pages you created.

Common mistakes

  • Skipping the default data source.
  • Using Semantic before any model is published.
  • Expecting a flat tab bar only—pages and sections live in Report Pages.
